Artist name: Alive Alone
Song title: Worm Day (Ft. Kellin Quinn)
Release date: Dec 15
This is the second single off of your upcoming album “Good Grief”, how would you say it compares to the first single? It’s got a darker theme and is different sonically as well. Less pop-y and more post-hardcore/punk like our old songs.
What was the songwriting process and how did the collaboration with Kellin Quinn come about? We wrote this song over a year ago. One day when we were playing it at rehearsal, I had the idea “Wouldn’t Kellin Quinn sound awesome for this part?” So I mentioned it and the rest of the band agreed. I reached out to him, sent him the demo and lyrics, and he agreed to do it. He sent me back some ideas he wrote, and we really liked them. So what initially was going to be him doing a 15 second verse turned into him also being on half of the bridge, and us doing a back and forth King For A Day type thing on the outro. So the song is almost 50/50 both of us on vocals.
When does the single drop and where can folks find it? It’ll be out December 15 on Spotify/Apple/Pandora/whatever digital music service people use
What can people expect next from Alive Alone? Our album comes out December 20th, we’re doing an album release party in Chicago December 22nd and then going on a west coast tour in February.
